Who am I?

And what am I doing here?!

Hi there, I’m Tyler. A travel and aviation nerd, I’m a terrible golfer, but I’m great at showing you how to travel like a pro. If you want to know more about what this site aims to be, click here.

Firstly, thank you for checking out my website, I appreciate it. If you have a spare moment, share the link with a friend or two, I’d love to share my stories with the world! You should also follow me on Instagram and Facebook, you won’t regret it.

I’m 28 and live in Brisbane, Australia. Originally from the Sunshine Coast, I have nearly always lived in Queensland where the sun is out year round and I am spoilt for travel options with easy drives to beaches, forests, mountains and even the outback.

I caught the travel bug in primary school on an educational trip to Japan. It changed my perspective and opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of travel. It’s not helped by the fact that I am a massive aviation nerd and will look up at the sky for anything with a propeller or jet attached to it.

Since that Japan trip 16 years ago, I have traveled to 21 countries, made loads of friends, seen some of the most remote places on earth and taken a countless amount of selfies. I’m always on the lookout for cheap airfares and deals whether it’s at home in Australia or abroad.

As Aussies are aware, we live in a corner of Earth that’s far away from everywhere else. This means expensive and often uncomfortable flights to visit our most popular holiday destinations. Being 194cm or 6’4″ it’s tough to travel in economy class, which is all I can budget in most cases. I’ve developed a few hacks on how to make the most of flying economy, and how to maximise the budget. I’m always helping out my family and friends, so it’s time to spread the love into the wider world.

I won’t bore you with any more of my life story, it will come out
naturally as you read through my content.
